Margaret Angulin

Margaret Angulin was born in England and worked for Bury health authority as an auxiliary nurse. Her husband is Irish so when the children where grown they returned to Ireland.

In Ireland Margaret worked as a care attendant in Harold’s Cross for a number of years before moving in 2003 to Rathvilly, Co. Carlow. It was here she first heard of Active Retirement and joined the local ARA in Tullow. From there she never looked back making new friends and settling into country life.

As a member of Tullow Margaret  held several positions, the first P.R. O. for a few years then came secretary and finally chairperson before being elected to the South-East region. Her first job at regional level was once again P.R.O. followed by vice-chair and then chairperson. Her hobbies include swimming and bowling. 3 years ago she joined Myshall A.R.A. as they play more competitive bowls.

Margaret has administration experience in health and social care settings, along with experience in running local and regional associations.
