Notice of EGM

Notice of EGM

In December, all appointed company members (or ARA chairpersons where an ARA does not have an appointed company member) were sent postal correspondence to notify of the Active Retirement Network Ireland (ARNI) Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held at 2.30pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026 at the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin D22 F9F4, and online via Zoom.

The purpose of the EGM is to discuss and vote on amendments to the ARNI constitution proposed by the Board. There are two parts to the constitution, the Memorandum of Association and the Articles of Association. Three years ago, the then Board started a process of reviewing the constitution. At the time they made a number of changes to the Memorandum of Association section. These required the approval of the Charities Regulator and this approval was received. Following this, the Board reviewed the clauses in the Articles of Association and the Board is now asking the members of the company to vote on these amendments to the ARNI constitution at the EGM.

The current ARNI constitution and the proposed amended ARNI constitution (with substantive changes shown in red text) are available to download and view below. If you would like a paper copy of these documents posted to you, please contact info@activeirl.ie
