Local ARA guide to holding an AGM
Following research carried out under funding from the Community Foundation of Ireland Older Peoples’ Fund on participation in local decision making structures, Active Retirement Ireland in consultation with the members has developed a toolkit for involved older people to measure their quality of participation on local structures such as Older Peoples’ Councils. The purpose of the toolkit is to increase the quality of engagement and partnership in local decision making structures, using the Code of Good Practice for Civil Participation in Decision making Processes. The toolkit is in two parts – Part 1 is background and Part 2 is the workbook for people to use.
