New ARA in Ballyconnell
In June this year we, in Ballyconnell, Co.Cavan, decided to form an Active Retirement group. To date we have thirty-five members and with an active and enthusiastic committee, things are really going well so far. We have one day-trip to Belvedere House and gardens, finishing off a pleasant day with a lovely meal in Bloomfield House hotel. Our second outing was to The Ulster Folk Museum in Omagh, shopping for bargains in the shopping centre and concluding with a perfect meal in the Killyhevlin Hotel in Enniskillen. Of course we are working as well, with a computer class in full swing and a Yoga class just commencing and many other activities in the pipeline. We are all delighted with our new-found lifestyle and in spite of the recession we hope to finish off our first year with a fabulous Christmas Party in the local Slieve Russell Hotel in early December.
